The US authorities arrested former Marine of killed Osama bin Laden

US authorities in Texas arrested Robert J. O’Neill, the former Marine who claims to have killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
O’Neal, 47, was booked Wednesday in Frisco and charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of assault causing bodily injury and a third-degree misdemeanor count of public intoxication, though prison records only list one count of assault.
Frisco police declined to release more information about the arrest.
On the same day, O’Neal was released on $3,500 bail.
He was in town to record a podcast at a local cigar lounge.
The former Navy SEAL Team 6 member, O’Neill became widely known after he took credit for killing Osama bin Laden during a secret US Army raid in 2011.
O’Neill told the story in his 2017 memoir, The Trigger.
The US government has never confirmed or denied this story.
In 2016, he was arrested for DUI in Montana, but prosecutors later dropped the charges against him.
The veteran is a supporter of Armed Forces Brewing Company, a Virginia microbrewery that has emerged amid controversy surrounding Bud Light’s sponsorship of LGBTQ influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
