The UAE sent a ship carrying 250 tons of relief aid to the affected people in Ukraine.

According to the official Emirates News Agency, report on Tuesday, “Yesterday, the UAE sent a ship carrying 250 tons of relief aid to those affected in Ukraine”.

The report added, “This shipment is part of the continuous relief support from the UAE to contribute to alleviating the humanitarian repercussions facing the Ukrainians as a result of the current crisis”.

According to the official Emirates News Agency, the shipment includes personal supplies, lighting lamps and blankets, which will be sent to Poland and Romania by sea, to be transported into Ukrainian territory.

“The International Affairs Office, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is working to prepare another batch of school aid, which includes computers for school students, equipment and educational supplies,” the report adds.

In October 2022, the UAE announced that it would provide $100 million to Ukrainian civilians, and the UAE launched an air bridge that included the dispatch of 11 planes carrying about 550 tons of relief supplies and basic foodstuffs.

Since February 24, 2022, the world has been living on the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war, which caused a large-scale Ukrainian refugee wave, and an unprecedented energy crisis that affected the European continent.
