The Israeli Foreign Minister attacks the Turkish president
With sharp words, Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz attacked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, against the backdrop of the latter’s positions on the war on Gaza.
On his account on X, Katz posted a picture showing Erdogan’s meeting with the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, commenting on it by saying, “Erdogan, who is carrying out a regular massacre of Kurds in Turkey and the region, accuses Israel of committing deliberate genocide in Gaza”.
Katz added, “Mr. Erdogan, we are not like you… We’re fighting your partners from Hamas, whom you hosted in Turkey and enabled them to carry out massacres and killing… It’s better to be silent and ashamed!”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that law and justice had fallen victim to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, accusing Western countries of involvement in the bloodshed in the Strip.
It’s worth noting that last Thursday, Israel targeted a group of Palestinian citizens, while they were waiting for trucks carrying humanitarian aid to arrive at the Nabulsi roundabout near al Rashid Street in the northwest of the Gaza Strip, killing more than 100 people and wounding more than 1,000 others.
The Israeli army claimed that Palestinian crowds attacked aid trucks, leading to the death of dozens due to overcrowding and trampling.
The UN Security Council failed at dawn on Friday to approve a statement holding Israel responsible for the massacre committed by Israeli forces, after the United States voted against the text of the statement proposed by Algeria.
