The Iranian Revolutionary Guard confirms the death of the commander of the Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon, his deputy, and 5 advisors in the Israeli strike in Damascus

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard reported on Monday that seven of its members, including two senior officers, were martyred in the Israeli strike that targeted the consulate of the Islamic Republic in Damascus.

The Revolutionary Guard issued a statement strongly condemning the attack, stressing that among those who kiiled were Brigadier General Muhammad Reza Zahedi and Brigadier General Muhammad Hadi Haji Rahimi.

The Revolutionary Guards confirmed that the commander of the Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon, his deputy, and 5 advisors were killed in the Israeli strike in Damascus.

The Iranian ambassador to Syria and his family weren’t harmed as a result of the attack.

On Monday, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Hussein Amir Abdullahian called on the international community for a serious response to the Israeli bombing that targeted his country’s consulate in Damascus and resulted in the martyrdom of a number of leaders and members of the Revolutionary Guard.

Syrian and Iranian media reported that an Israeli air strike destroyed the Iranian consulate building in Damascus on Monday, in a clear escalation of the conflict in the Middle East that would pit Israel against Iran and its allies.

For his part, the Iranian ambassador to Syria announced that his country would respond decisively to the Israeli bombing of its consulate in Damascus.

On Monday, an Israeli bombing destroyed the headquarters of the Iranian consulate in Syria, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of all those inside, according to what Damascus announced, while Iranian official television confirmed that a leader in the Revolutionary Guards was among who killed.

The Israeli attack destroyed a building attached to the Iranian embassy on the Mezzeh Highway in the capital, Damascus.
