The Guardian newspaper revealed a classified document that Ukraine sent to its allies in the West, calling for striking Iranian drone production sites in Syria and Iran.

This call comes after Russia used Iranian-made drones in the Ukrainian war.

According to page 47 in the document submitted by the Ukrainian government to the G7 countries last August, more than 600 raids on Ukrainian cities have been documented over the past three months using Iranian-made drones containing Western technology.

The document stated that the drones used by Russian forces were manufactured by Iranian manufacturers in Iran and Syria, and contain Western components.

Five European companies have been named as original manufacturers of the selected components.

The document said that among the manufacturers are companies headquartered in the sanction’s coalition countries: The United States, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Japan and Poland.

The document also indicates that the Iranian government is trying to diversify its production through a Syrian factory that delivers production to the Russian port of Novorossiysk, but drone production has also shifted to Russia, after Tehran continues to supply.

The document suggests that Ukraine’s Western allies should consider the possibility of launching missile strikes on production plants for these drones in Iran and Syria, and also on a potential production site in the Russian Federation.

The document confirms that the Ukrainian Defense Forces could carry out this operation if the necessary means of destruction are available, but it isn’t yet known whether these proposals will be implemented.

The document says that there is a lack of coordination between EU intelligence services to deal with the misuse of Western components, which leads to insufficient sanctions being imposed on the companies involved.
