The German conservative opposition failed again to pass a parliamentary resolution demanding that Berlin provide Ukraine with German Taurus missiles, after a majority of MPs voted against it.

In the Bundestag, 690 deputies participated in the vote, where 495 deputies opposed the proposal, 190 supported it, and five deputies abstained from voting.

It’s noteworthy that the parliamentary bloc consisting of the Christian Democratic Union Party and the Christian Social Union Party has 197 deputies in Parliament.

The Taurus system has a long range of up to 500 kilometers and has high accuracy.

This system would destroy Russian ammunition depots, protected command centers and important warfare infrastructure behind the front line.

Opponents of sending the Taurus system say it’s possible that this could escalate the conflict and drag Germany into the war.
