The Russian Ambassador in the Central African Republic, Alexander Bekantov, announced that Russia had provided a humanitarian donation of 50,000 tons of grain to the African countries.

The ambassador stressed that this food aid will play a vital role in confronting the challenges of food shortages facing the country, especially with the increasing influx of refugees from Chad and Sudan.

Burkina Faso received on Friday 25,000 tons of wheat as a donation from Russia, out of 200,000 tons that Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged to provide to a number of African countries.

Putin announced during the Russian-African summit, which was held last July in St. Petersburg, that he would provide free shipments of grain to six African countries.

In addition to Burkina Faso, the countries concerned with providing these free shipments include Mali, Central Africa, Eritrea, Zimbabwe, and Somalia.

This decision comes within the framework of Russia’s commitment to provide assistance to countries facing difficult humanitarian situations, and to strengthen humanitarian relations between countries.

This aid comes in the context of international efforts to alleviate humanitarian crises and provide support to countries suffering from a shortage of food supplies.

The positive aspects of this aid reflect international relations and global solidarity in facing common challenges.

It’s worth noting that this Russian contribution comes in the context of international efforts to relieve economic and social pressures on countries facing difficulties, and promotes a deeper understanding of the humanitarian challenges in the region.

With this step, Russia affirms its commitment to human solidarity and its active role in providing support to countries in need, and strengthens bilateral relations between countries in the context of sustainable partnership and cooperation.
