Republicans begun proceedings for Biden’s impeachment

On Friday, the Republicans in the US House of Representatives approved preliminary measures to isolate President Joe Biden, accusing him of abusing power and dereliction of his duty as president of the United States.

A bill was passed to begin investigating allegations of wrongdoing against Democratic President Biden and his family, and to refer those charges to the House Homeland Security and Judiciary Committees.

The vote conducted on a partisan basis, with 219 Republicans voting in favor, while 208 Democrats voted against the bill.

It’s noteworthy that if the two committees vote in favor of starting a formal vote in the House of Representatives to isolate the US President, the House will begin to formally vote on the project, and the US Constitution provides for the possibility of prosecuting and removing the President from office for serious crimes and misdemeanours.

On Wednesday, Republicans voted to censure Democratic Representative Adam Schiff, one of Trump’s staunchest critics, for his role in the investigations into the former president.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said Republicans are focusing on their extremism, their conspiracy theories, and submission to Donald Trump.
