Reports: The Russian forces are getting close to fully control Avdiivka


Reports received in recent hours indicate an escalation in military activity by Russian forces as they seek to control the town of Avdiivka, located in the Donetsk region.

The context of the siege of Avdiivka from several direction, as the Ukrainian army acknowledged that it is facing great difficulties in this strategic battle that has been ongoing since mid-October, without determining decisive results until the moment.

Avdiivka is now among the hotspots on the front, where the Russian army recorded advances over the past weekend.

The head of the town’s military administration, Vitaly Barabash, confirmed that Russian forces are approaching the town from all directions after a long period of continuous fighting.

Russian forces are trying to control Avdiivka along three main points

The first is in the southeast of Avdiivka, where the southern industrial zone is located, and has recently witnessed cluster bombing.

The second is in the northwest, with a group of villages and a large coke factory, and the third is in the south, where there are small villages and the fighting was less intense in this part.

Reports indicate that the situation is still unclear, and there are conflicting reports about the Russian forces entering a depth of 1 km.
