Qassam Brigades: 40 Israeli soldiers were killed and wounded in Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip

The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas, announced on Monday evening that 40 Israeli soldiers had been killed and wounded, who were holed up in a house in the Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Qassam Brigades said in a statement on Telegram, “The al Qassam Mujahideen were able to target a special Zionist force consisting of a reinforced faction of 40 soldiers holed up in a house in the Jabalia al Balad area, north of the Gaza Strip, with anti-fortified TBG shells”.

The Qassam Brigades explained that all members of the Israeli force were killed and wounded.

On the other hand, the Israeli army announced, on Tuesday, that an officer and a soldier were killed in battles on Monday night in the southern Gaza Strip, bringing the number of its deaths since the beginning of the war to 491, according to the Israeli army.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that “Sergeant (res.) Elisha Yonatan Luber, and Lieutenant Colonel (res.) Yosef Geitertz, were killed in battles in the southern Gaza Strip”.

The Israeli Channel 12 announced that the Israeli army dismissed the commander of the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade after endangering the lives of soldiers in the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza.

The channel 12 had announced that the Golani Brigade withdrew from the Gaza Strip, so that the soldiers could catch their breath after suffering heavy losses.

After more than 70 days in Gaza, and the loss of 44 of its soldiers, the Golani Brigade soldiers left the Gaza Strip to catch their breath and visit their families for a few days.

Israeli media revealed an ambush carried out Hamas fighters on soldiers from the Golani Brigade in the Shujaiya neighborhood, which led to the killing and wounding of a large number of officers and soldiers.
