Poll: Germans are dissatisfied with the performance of Chancellor Scholz and his government
The results of an opinion poll in Germany revealed that the amount of dissatisfaction with the performance of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his government had risen to an unprecedented level during the two years that had passed since he had been at the head of the country’s executive authority.
The results of the poll conducted by the YouGov opinion poll showed that 74% of Germans believe that Scholz’s performance is very bad or somewhat bad.
In contrast, 20% described the performance of the chancellor belonging to the Social Democratic Party as somewhat good or very good.
Around 73% of those surveyed said that they were very dissatisfied, or somewhat dissatisfied, with the performance of the entire coalition government, which consists of the Socialist Party, the Green Party, and the Free Democratic Party.
In contrast, 22% of those surveyed said that they were very satisfied or somewhat satisfied.

In the YouGov poll, 77% expressed little or no confidence in Scholz’s leadership of the government.
It was striking that the percentage of those who adopted this opinion among Socialist Party supporters reached 60%.
The survey’s asked the participants 12 prominent political figures represented in Bundestag and asked the participants about their favorite personality to assume the position of chancellor.
Scholz received the support of only 5% of the participants.
On the other hand, Markus Söder, leader of the Bavarian Christian Social Party and head of the Bavarian state government, received the highest percentage, with 15%, followed by the head of the populist “Alternative Party” bloc, Alice Weidel, with 12%, and then former leftist politician Sarah Wagenknecht, with 8%.
