The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced, on Wednesday, that the death toll had risen to 950, since Saturday, as a result of the continued Israeli raids for the fifth day.

The ministry said in a statement that death toll from the Israeli aggression for the fifth day reached 950 dead and 5,000 people with various wounds.

On the other hand, the Israeli army spokesman confirmed that the death toll had risen to 1,200 and the injured to more than 2,700.

The Israeli bombing continued on Gaza, where the violent Israeli bombing destroyed by dozens of residential buildings, factories, mosques, and stores.

The Israeli army confirmed that it struck several Hamas targets overnight.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced on Tuesday evening that more than 175,000 people in Gaza had taken refuge in 88 of its schools.

The UNRWA said in a statement, “88 of our schools in the Gaza Strip have turned into shelters for more than 175,000 people, and the numbers are increasing due to the continued Israeli air strikes”.

UNRWA had announced that half a million people had stopped receiving vital food aid, as it was forced to close all 14 food distribution centers.

In addition, the Israeli army said on Wednesday that Israeli forces had killed at least a thousand Palestinian militants who infiltrated from Gaza since the beginning of the week, and reinforcements had been sent to all population centers in Israel in light of the expansion of hostilities on other fronts.

In quotes published by the Israel Hayom newspaper on its website, the army’s chief spokesman, Admiral Daniel Hagari, said that among the Hamas targets that were destroyed in the counterattack on Gaza was an advanced aircraft tracking system.

In the same context, Israeli Kan channel said, on Wednesday morning, that the United States is working with other countries to establish a humanitarian corridor designed to evacuate Palestinians and US citizens from Gaza, with expectations of an Israeli military operation in the Strip.

The Israeli Kan channel added that the US administration, in the last 24 hours, began coordinating with other countries to prepare to establish a humanitarian corridor through Egypt to remove Palestinians and citizens holding US citizenship.
