Just 11 months before the elections… Biden’s approval ratings is at the lowest
US President Biden’s approval ratings dropped to a record low, with only 34% saying they approved of his performance in the White House and 61% of participants saying they disapproved of Biden’s job performance, just about 11 months before the US presidential elections.
According to a poll conducted by Monmouth University, in the state of New Jersey, Biden’s approval rating was lower than a poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal earlier this month, which found that Biden had an approval rating of 37%.
This poll also showed that Biden is lagging behind former President Donald Trump, the probable Republican Party’s front-runner, in a hypothetical showdown in the 2024 presidential election.
In the poll released, Monday, only 3 out of 10 Americans surveyed said that Biden pays enough attention to the issues that are most important to them.
On specific issues, 68% said they disapprove of his performance on inflation, 69% disapprove of his performance on immigration, 54% disapprove of his performance on climate change, and in addition, 53% disapprove of his performance on jobs and unemployment, and 52% disapprove of his performance on transportation and energy infrastructure, which has been the focus of the president’s attention since the infrastructure bill was passed.
Among Democrats, the poll showed only 50% approved of his handling of immigration and 62% approved of how he handled inflation.
