Israeli Reserve Brigade: Hamas releasing prisoners from area the army claimed to control in the northern Gaza Strip
Israeli media quoted Reserve Major General in the Israeli army, Yitzhak Brik, as saying, “Hamas is releasing prisoners from areas that the army is supposed to control in the northern Gaza Strip”.
Brik stressed that the Israeli army is very far from achieving the goals in Gaza, and that Hamas still has tens of thousands of fighters, while the occupation army is in need of rehabilitation after this war.
He added that the Israeli army doesn’t have the ability to deal with several arenas at the same time, noting that today’s air forces don’t win wars, and the Israeli Air Force doesn’t stop a single missile.
He pointed out that US President Joe Biden doesn’t want to see civilian casualties in southern Gaza, and if it’s forbidden to level homes, our soldiers will enter without air support and artillery support, and we will have more deaths”.
Regarding the confrontations with Hezbollah in Lebanon, Brik said, “It was a miracle that the war didn’t break out at the same time, and Hezbollah’s “Radwan Force” didn’t enter that day,” noting that “Hezbollah was able to reach Haifa and Tiberias, while they didn’t didn’t enter… There was no one to defend the north”.
He added that, at the same time, Hezbollah’s force could have fired on all the infrastructure, and then Israel would have ceased to exist”.
Brik said that Israel hadn’t prepared for a regional war in 20 years, and when thousands of missiles arrived at it from Yemen and Iran, there was no ability to stop them.
