Ignoring international criticism… Russia is stick to spreading nuclear weapons in Belarus

The official Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, announced on Monday, that the West’s reaction won’t affect Russia’s plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

“This reaction certainly cannot change Russia’s plans, as President Putin made everything clear in his remarks in an interview on Saturday, there is nothing to add to this,” Peskov told reporters, commenting on criticism from the West of Russia’s plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

The Russian President Vladimir Putin announced, on Saturday, that Moscow and Minsk had agreed to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, without prejudice to obligations related to non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.

Putin said, in an interview with Russia 24 channel, that a nuclear weapons storage site is under construction in Belarus, and will be ready starting next July.

Ukraine has received huge financial and military aid from Western countries, led by the United States and other European countries, since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

Western countries seek, through the material, military and political support they provide to Kiev, to obstruct the objectives of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, but Moscow has confirmed on more than one occasion that the operation will not stop until all its objectives are achieved.

In turn, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow will decide the future and prospects of its future relations with the West according to its own terms, whenever it wants to, and in the event that the Western leaders decide to wake up from their dreams.

Lavrov said during a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the “Alexander Gorchakov Fund” for Public Diplomacy, on Monday, “Despite the dirty Western campaign aimed at erasing everything related to Russia, we still have many friends in all countries of the world, including the West, and despite the lack of these friends in the West we fully understand sympathize with our multinational country, love Russian culture, and share our traditional moral values”.
