Hamas: There will be no negotiations to exchange prisoners with Israel without finally stopping the aggression against the Palestinian people


Hamas said, on Saturday evening, that it had informed the mediators of its position refusing to open any prisoner exchange negotiations with the Israeli side, without a final cessation of the aggression against the Palestinian people.

Hamas added in a statement, “Hamas affirms its position not to open any negotiations to exchange prisoners, unless the aggression against our people stops once and for all”.

The statement continued, “The Hamas movement has communicated this position to all mediators”.

Earlier, the official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, said that Israel is considering submitting a new proposal to release the hostages in Gaza.

According to Israeli statistics, during its attack last October 7 on settlements and military areas around the Gaza Strip, Hamas killed about 1,200 Israelis, wounded about 5,431, and captured about 239.

Israel exchanged dozens of them during a humanitarian truce that lasted 7 days until December 1, with Israel holds 7,800 Palestinians in its prisons, including children and women.

According to according to Palestinian and UN sources, since last October 7, the Israeli army has been waging a devastating war on Gaza that, as of Friday, left 18,800 dead and 51,000 injured, most of them children and women, massive destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
