Hamas confirmed that Qatar will be the one that will announce the truce agreement with Israel, the details of which are expected to be revealed in the coming hours.

Hamas Political Bureau member Izzat al Rishq said in statements to Al Jazeera on Tuesday, “Now the matter is up to the brothers in Qatar, and they are the ones who will announce the truce agreement with Israel and its details”.

He added, “The details of the upcoming truce agreement will be revealed in the coming hours”.

He continued, “The agreement talks about a ceasefire in exchange for the entry of aid and the release of an agreed-upon number of women and children from the occupation, which will be in exchange for the release of women and children from our people in the occupation prisons”.

He explained, “Once the agreement is announced, it will be acceptable and satisfactory to us, and it will express the demands of the unified resistance in the field and politics as well”.

He stressed that the Israelis are trying to negotiate in light of the aggression to break the resistance, and this has not and will not happen.

In recent days, there has been procrastination on the part of the Zionist side, especially by Netanyahu.

At dawn on Tuesday, Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas,” confirmed that reaching a truce agreement with Israel is coming soon.

Israel says that 239 of its citizens have been detained by Hamas in Gaza, among them soldiers and civilians, since Hamas attack on October 7.

On Sunday evening, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al Thani said that the completion of the exchange deal between Israel and Hamas is coming soon, without mentioning a specific date.

Hamas is offering to release a number of Israeli prisoners, including those with foreign nationalities, in exchange for a truce for several days, the entry of fuel and food into Gaza, and the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons.

For 45 days, the Israeli army has been waging a devastating war on Gaza, leaving more than 13,300 Palestinian dead, including more than 5,600 children and 3,550 women, as well as more than 31,000 injured, 75% of whom are children and women.
