According to Israeli Haaretz newspaper, Hamas is rebuilding its capabilities very quickly and re-establishing itself in other areas of Gaza.

The Israeli newspaper quoted an unnamed senior Israeli officer as saying that Israel was in an educational war with Hamas because Hamas had recently changed war tactics and was focusing more on booby-trapping buildings.

Haaretz newspaper, which considered left-wing added that recent operations in the Zeitoun neighborhood and other areas showed that the army’s estimates were incorrect regarding Hamas infrastructure.

Haaretz also confirmed that the majority of IDF soldiers believe that the IDF’s military operation in Jabaliya is absurd.

Earlier on Tuesday, Politico quoted officials as saying that “Hamas can be disrupted, but the things that enable it to form, develop and grow remain”.

He spoke to four US officials who said they agreed with the view that Israel was unlikely to achieve complete victory in Gaza, and that Israel’s current operations in Gaza were breathing life into Hamas.

The past few days have witnessed a clear escalation in the operations launched by the Palestinian resistance led by the Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, in various areas of the Gaza Strip, after Israel blocked a prisoner exchange deal put forward by mediators and agreed to by Hamas.
