Germany Banned “Osmanen Germania” Turkish Extreme national group
Germany has banned a Turkish national group of motorcyclists due to multiple allegations of involvement in organized crime and activities that harm security and pose a threat to citizens.
German Interior Minister Horst Zehwefer said on Tuesday that inspections in four states were linked to the ban on motorcycles by the Ottoman Germania (German Ottomans) club.
The German authorities pointed out that in addition to the involvement of the group in the organized crime, believed to be related to the Justice and Development Party of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the tendency to intimidate critics in Germany.
The group founded in 2015 & has 16 branches across Germany.
According to source at the German Interior Ministry, there are no arrests have been reported yet and the investigations is ongoing.
