The leader of the parliamentary group of the ruling Social Democratic Party in Germany, Rolf Mützenich, considered that the differences within the ruling coalition are one of the reasons for the rise of the Alternative for Germany party in the country.

“We’ve a share of the blame for this, there is no doubt about it,” Mützenich added in statements to the RND media group.

“Our performance made some voters wish that those at the top would get their comeuppance,” he added.

Mützenich said, “However, despite the understandable criticism, citizens should think carefully about who they vote for and realize that the AfD isn’t interested in them,” adding, “The AfD isn’t interested in you”.

He added, “They aren’t fighting for important social issues such as collectively agreed wages, good working conditions, minimum wages, or social solidarity such as the inclusion of children with disabilities”.

Mützenich believed that the government showed the extent of its focus on the people’s concerns and the social situation.

He explained that despite the freeze in Russian gas supplies, the government ensured reliable energy supplies and made them affordable, and in addition, the coalition government increased child benefits, the minimum wage, and housing benefits.
