An intensified Russian attack on several Ukrainian regions
Russia launched a new missile attack on the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, and other cities on Thursday, but it was repelled by air defenses, officials said.
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that Ukrainian air defenses responded early Thursday to a missile attack launched by Russia on the Ukrainian capital.
Klitschko urged residents to stay in shelters, while several explosions in different areas of Kiev.
Lviv Mayor Andrei Sadovy reported hearing explosions in the city located in the west of the country near the border with Poland.
