On Monday, the Ukrainian government dismissed 6 of the deputies of the Defense Minister appointed this month, Rustem Umerov, while keeping only his first deputy.

The Ukrainian government representative in Parliament, Taras Melnychuk, wrote in his Telegram channel that the dismissed deputy ministers were Volodymyr Gavrilov, Vitaly Deynega, Hanna Maliar, Rostislav Zamlensky, Denis Sharapov, and Andrey Shevchenko.

Konstantin Vashchenko, Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, was also dismissed, while Oleksandr Pavlyuk, First Deputy Minister of Defense, remained in his position.

The Ukrainian government representative didn’t give any reasons for this massive dismissal campaign in the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, especially in these critical times.

Earlier this month, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky replaced former Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov with Rustem Umerov over accusations of corruption scandals.
