Ukraine’s president welcomes proposals for peace talks as his country needs oil and petroleum products

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the willingness of the Ukrainian people to defend his country had thwarted the occupation scenario but welcomed proposals by Turkey and Azerbaijan for peace talks with Russia.

“We’ll fight whatever it takes to liberate our country,” Zelensky said in a short video message on Saturday, noting that his country needs oil and petroleum products.
