Gazprom announces a decrease in gas reserves in Europe

Gazprom company stated that, by mid of February, gas reserves at blue-ground fuel storage facilities in the European Union decreased by 93.4% of the total volume of gas pumped to the facilities in the summer.

The company stated, based on European data, that the quantities of gas stored in ground European facilities are now below 7% of the total volume of gas pumped to these facilities in the summer.

The data also indicated that the gas reserves in the ground gas facilities in Ukraine decreased by the middle of this month to the level of 10.7 billion cubic meters, which is 45.7% lower than the level of last year.

European markets are witnessing sharp fluctuations in gas prices due to the decline in stocks and the high demand for them.
