Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he and his wife had contracted the Coronavirus.

And the Turkish president’s official account on Twitter published a tweet in which he announced that he had contracted the virus.
He added that the results of the analysis were positive, with mild symptoms, and the virus may be of the Omicron variant, stressing: “I’ll continue to work from home, and we ask you to pray”.
Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca had published a tweet late last month in which he said, “The virus isn’t as strong as it was before… You don’t have to worry about the growing numbers”.
He added: “We’ll continue our normal lives by protecting the elderly and those with chronic diseases and following personal precautions… Let’s not ignore vaccines”.
