An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman affirmed Monday, that there is no direct or indirect dialogue with the United States on the nuclear agreement or other issues.
The Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency (IRNA) quoted spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh as saying, regarding the US Secretary of State’s proposal to create a multilateral mechanism with Iran’s participation on peace in Afghanistan: “There is no direct or indirect dialogue with the United States on the nuclear agreement or other issues”.
On another issue, the spokesman commented on the Houthi’s repeated attempts to launch attacks on Saudi Arabia, saying: “The reason for what is happening in Yemen today is the aggression that has been going on for six years and the blatant injustice against millions of Yemenis, and the indiscriminate bombing operations taking place in separate areas of Yemen”.
The spokesman called on Saudi Arabia to stop this devastating and asymmetric war as soon as possible.
On Saudi Arabia’s accusation that Iran, which supports the Houthis, of being responsible for the drone attacks launched from Yemen, the spokesman said: “The roots of the crisis that we see in Yemen today are the war that the Saudi Crown Prince thought would end in three weeks”.
